June 5, 2176 – 12:07 p.m.

“Admit it, I won and you guys lost!”  Sonic the Hedgehog said as he turned to look at Shadow the Hedgehog and Manic the Hedgehog.  The three males lay on the ground near the shore of Crescent Lake.  “No. I won by a mile!”  the green hedgehog added and instantly turned to look at Shadow.  “I feel so sorry for you!  I won 50 years a go!”  Sonic and Manic looked at each other before turning to Shadow again, “Dude!  We’re only 17!”

“But I’ve been around longer than you two! So I won!”  Shadow answered putting on a pair of sunglasses.  “You were in suspended animation!  That doesn’t count! … And those are mine!”  Sonic said as he took the sunglasses away.  A gray long spiked female hedgehog approached them and stood next to the ebony hedgehog, casting (how ironic) a shadow on him.  

“Shady, move! You’re blocking my sun!” “It’s not yours!” She replied innocently, shaking off the spikes from her face and moved closer to block more of the sunlight. “Can you not see that I'm trying to catch some rays?” “Shadow, you’re black!” “That wont stop me from trying!” Shady sighed, “Most girls get one cool older brother. All I get are 3 lame-os!” “We’re not lame-os!!” All three yelled out at once. “Right … What are you doing?” “Having a contest! Which I won!” Shadow said snatching the glasses from Sonic again.

They both started wrestling for the glasses.  “Typical … what was it about?”  “Who of the three is most popular.  They both think they’ve won, but we all know that everyone loves me.”  Manic said as he stood and put on a pair of … sunglasses? “Hold on, aren’t those-” “MANIC!!!”  Both Shadow and Sonic tackled Manic to the floor.  “Would you stop fighting you bunch of 5-year-olds!! I came to warn you.  But since you cant stop fighting for five measly minutes….”

“Oh boooooyyyyssss!!!!!” The three had immediately frozen as they heard the annoyingly familiar female voice. “Yep! Sonia’s looking for you! … She wants you to put up the tents, find some wood, unload and unpack, clean up the leaves around camp,… ” “RUUUUN!!!” Sonic and Shadow yelled before running off. “HEY, GUYS!!!” “Hi, Manic! Hmm I thought I saw Sonic and Shadow here … Oh well guess I’ll use you.” Sonia quickly grabbed his hand before he could run away and started pulling towards the edge of Celestial Forest where the others had been setting up camp. “Hey, Shady. Take note.” “Yeah?” “As soon as those two get back, remind me to kill ‘em” “Sure thing, Manny! … Can I get my video camera first?”

June 5, 2176 – 12:15 p.m.

Shadow ran through the dense trees of Celestial Forest.  He stopped in a clearing and looked back, thinking, “Man, Manic will be pissed.  Maybe I should turn back… … Nah!”  He snickered out loud.  His laughter stopped when he was tackled to the ground.  The female yellow fox had run from deeper in the forest and had crashed with him.  She agilely jumped away from him and stood a few feet away, standing on all fours.  She wore a strange looking lavender dress, which was stained with blood and dirt and torn everywhere.  In her hand she held a long amethyst covered spear and her face had been recently slashed since it was still in live flesh.  Her piercing dark green eyes stayed fixed on him.

“Are you okay?” Shadow asked standing near her. The fox stood up quickly and raised her spear to his neck, “Move an inch and I’ll kill you! … Shadow the Hedgehog!” The hedgehog sneered strangely causing her to hold her spear tighter. “So you know me … Are you sure about what you’re doing? I would be more careful.” “You’re the one who has to be-” her eyes unfocused and Shadow noticed a sudden change in her eyes, from a sharp dark green to a softer lighter color. Nevertheless, he took advantage of the change by taking the spear and throwing it aside.

“I’m not going to hurt you.  I ask you again.  Are you all right?”  The female collapsed and he kneeled down next to her, turning her around.  He was still next to her, when more foxes emerged from within the forest, armed with spears and swords.  “¡Es un extrangero!”  “¿¡Qué demonios hace tan adentro del bosque!?”  “¡La tiene, atrápenlo!”  (Translation: “It’s an outsider!”  “What the hell is he doing so deep in the forest!?”  “He has her, get him!”)  

A male fox stepped forward, his sword pointed at Shadow, he spoke English with difficulty and a thick Hispanic accent, “I see you’ve caught our traitor! Hand her over and come with us!” “What are you going to do with her?”  “She’ll be put to death and you’ll be enslaved.  Like every other being that comes too close to our tribe!!”  “Yeah sure!  Too bad I have a tight schedule.  Don’t think I can squeeze in slavery.”  He sneered back at them and ran off with the female.

June 5, 2176 – 12:37 p.m.

When he was at a reasonable distance he walked, eyeing the fox closely. He put her on the ground, leaning on a tree and attempted to wake her when he was knocked down (again…) “Hey! What’s the big id- Silver?” Pushing him away, he saw Silver, sitting on the ground rubbing his head. “OW…MY BAD! BEEN LOOKING EVERYWHERE FOR YOU!!” Shadow sighed, “I swear, you gotta stop doing that.” “WHAT?” “That!” Shadow yelled as he pulled off both headphones that the hedgehog was wearing. “Oh right! Had it on too loud!” “Again…”

“Everyone’s looking for you, Manic’s going around saying that he wants to kill you, he already pushed Sonic into the lake you know how he hates to get wet.  He started screaming and- and who’s the chick… Uh, fox?”  “I don’t know …”  “Shadow, you dog!”  Silver said, grinning.  “Silver, you imbecile!”  Shadow responded as he got up, hit him on the back of the head and then ran off.  “Ow! What I do?”  He looked around, “Hey, Shadow!  Don’t leave me alone here!!”
